There is no way that you and everyone you sponsor personally know thousands of people. Sure, maybe you have a personal contact list of over 500 people, but the only way your business will expand the way you want it to is if every member of your downline also has a large personal contact list. If everyone in your organization was an accomplished internet marketer then you could all put together your own lead generation campaigns. But this is almost certainly not the case. Does it make sense to call 200 prospects to sponsor one new recruit or would calling only 50 prospects to sponsor the same recruit make more sense? Steve, I agree 100%, Network Marketing is a person to person business. It's difficult enough for the majority of MLMer's to build a downline because most have never been involved in this type of business before and they don't understand the process of finding recruits. Buying a list of 90 day old leads or buying real time leads makes no difference if you try to sell a product or opportunity in the first minute of the call, you will get nowhere. Marketers need to learn to listen to what their prospects are telling them. You have to first understand where they are and what they want and need before you can offer any help. Generating your own leads is great, and can be very profitable, but you must also understand and be prepared to follow up through email marketing. So until one has mastered the art of cold calling, lead capture, and email marketing they are much better off finding a good lead generation company and buying quality leads.
