We are looking for more feedback on customers who have used MLMLeadsSpecialists.com

Our initial review is as follows:

Positive:

Great prices. They have some of the best prices for their leads

Negative:

The leads are horrible as a whole. So, despite the good prices, the bottom line is that the money you save is not worth the cost. Here are some comments about these leads:

"I sold their leads a long time ago when they were MLMLeadGenie. I thought I would try them again as MLMLeadSpecialist. What a mistake. It has been nothing but a mistake. I have not had this much damage control to do from the customers that have bought these leads from me." ~ Anonymous Reseller

"The leads were shocked that I called them. Everyone is surprised I am calling them! I was calling these with a group of people and I was embarrassed. There were duplicate leads and many angry people. I did not speak with one person who knew what I was talking about. Horrible." ~ P.K., Monavie

"What a mess. I hate to bash a company, but these leads are some of the worst I have ever called. " ~ A.N., Iowa

"I don't think I have ever requested a refund from a leads company before, but I did with them. Not very impressed." ~ R.C., Mannatech

While I don' t really want to put down a leads company, it is amazing the number of negative feedback emails we have received. I would like to post something positive, but we never received any.

The purpose of this blog post is not to bash MLMLeadSpecialists, but to make our readers aware of what other customers are saying.

Affiliate programs are nothing new, but not too many lead companies have them anymore. I miss the days of ProStep… for those of you who remember when ProStep was an MLM company. I actually made quite a bit of money with them.

Today, most lead companies have some kind of a referral bonus… hey we'll send you some free leads if you refer someone. That's nice, but I'd still rather have cash over leads… or both for that matter.

There are a couple of them out there, and I do understand that it's not about getting wealthy off of a leads affiliate program, but I do intend to make at least $300-$500 per month with the Pro Email Leads affiliate program. Here's their banner. Just sign up for free and start promoting their leads. It is a 2-tier affiliate program. If you get 5 – 10 people a month who buy leads through your link, or if they are on your first or second tier, it won't be hard to make a nice bit of money with their 30% payout.

While it is certainly no ProStep (RIP), it is a decent way to make a few extra bucks. This may be one of the better kept secrets out there. Check it out while it's still not flooded with affiliates.

Top 10 MLM Lead Companies

We try and keep that list up to date based upon some of the following criteria:

User Feedback – you write us and let us know anything that has been good, bad, horrible, or outstanding. Just click on the Contact Form above to send us any feedback on a leads company you would like us to know about.

Company Websites – Some companies have websites that look like they were designed in the 70's, long before the internet was around. Basically we're looking for up to date information, lead details, and a sense that someone is running the business who has a moderate level of responsibility

Customer Service – I like to call up lead companies to see what kind of customer service they have. Some have zero. Some are pretty good.

Sales People – Am I buying a used car or am I speaking to someone who would actually be a partner in business. Some people you speak to you would think you are speaking to a snake.

Length of Business – Some companies are just too new to make the cut… because we don't know much about them. They could have been another leads company, but just changed names to hide their identity.

Other stuff too… but we mainly rely upon user feedback. Drop us a not on our Contact Form and let us know what's going on with your MLM Leads experience.

Just a quick post. Some people have asked if MLMLeadSpecialists is the same as MLMLeadGenie.

While I don't have an answer for all of the details, in so many words the answer is yes. Lead companies that were resellers for MLMLeadGenie.com received an email in mid-2009 that they should now begin buying their leads to resell from MLMLeadSpecialists. Nothing really seemed to look or smell different… just seems to be the same leads with a different company name.

MLMLeadGenie has been around for many years and they have good relationships with a lot of MLM companies and top distributors within those companies to supply leads for their teams. You don't last as long as they have by delivering a bunch of crappy leads.

With that said… Lead Genie is probably one of the companies that receives more complaints about the poor quality of their leads than any other company that we get reports on. So, I'm not exactly sure what does keep them in business. For every one good comment, I get nine bad ones.

Some people complain just to complain. In many cases, I could take a list of leads that one person complained about, give it to a more experienced, seasoned networker, and he/she could get some results out of it. But, when the complaints keep coming, there might be a pattern forming.

MLMLeadSpecialists/MLMLeadGenie have some of the best prices of any leads company out there. I really believe they are worth testing. Go buy 100 of their leads and test the numbers out for yourself. It's the only way you'll ever know. If you get results, then you may have just found a cheaper MLM lead than what you had been buying. Or, you may have just realized it's time to move on.

That's true for any leads company. Just don't expect miracles with any lead. Get the training you need and what used to be a poor list, may begin to convert for you.

One of the things I do is monitor lead companies. I have about 40 or 50 people now who send me notes on a regular basis regarding the quality of leads they receive from different companies.

Let me qualify this. I actually receive many more people reporting to me, but some of their comments are such a joke, they have no business buying leads to begin with. For example, I got an email from a guy last week slandering a leads company. He had bought email leads and was upset because they weren't quality phone leads. Save your breath.

I'm talking about real network marketers buying real MLM leads to build their business. I'm not talking about people buying 10 leads for a penny and expecting gold to come pouring forth.

So, to the topic at hand – LeadPower.com

Lead Power has been around a while, and the quality of their leads has fluctuated. I had received about 4 or 5 emails over the first half of the year that they were "okay." That was about it. Nothing great, nothing bad. Some good results, some zero results.

However, since the first of November, I have received over 20 emails about how horrible the quality of leads has been. So called "interviewed" leads were a complete joke, way oversold, never verified, angry people (notice I didn't say prospects), and probably worse than the email leads the guy I just mentioned was calling.

The funny thing was, it wasn't just a couple people. 4 0r 5 emails through the first 10 months this year. 20+ emails in the last month. And, the people who are emailing me are a bit "passionate" about how upset they are with Lead Power. These leads are "Putrid!!" That is a direct quote from one of my readers.

So, buy with caution for now. Things change. Like I said, their lead quality has been inconsistent… it's just this has been much worse than normal. Another thing to beware of. Lead Power has a reseller program and they aren't afraid to use it. They are reselling their leads to other lead companies to resell the same bad leads through other companies.

(**Disclaimer** – The quality of the leads is not reflected upon the employees of the company. Do not call up LP and yell at their staff or whomever else. It's a waste of your breath, and nothing short of unprofessional. They are just workers, so treat them with decency and respect.)

I just got off the phone with Rich Niccolls, the owner of National-Leads.com. They are beginning to move the content of their site over to their new design. So, be ready for a new look, new navigation, and according to Rich, a simplification of the whole site structure.

I asked what that meant, and he basically said that he has been working on making it easier to navigate, find the leads that are right for you, and then purchasing your leads. One of the issues in the past, according to Rich, has been that there were too many links to click and it could be somewhat confusing for a first-time visitor.

Anyway, I just wanted to pass that along. Be looking for the new design coming soon. Below is a sneak peek at what it's gonna look like. The top will look slightly different from what Rich says, but you get a good idea.

Have a great week.

Sean's Notes On This Article by Doug Firebaugh – While everyone is entitled to their opinion, I believe his list of 15 of the best lead companies is WAY off track. If for no other reason, most of the companies on this list are actually leads coming from one company, Responsive Data. RD has some good points and bad points. They used to be a good company, but lately have been getting some very NEGATIVE feedback from distributors in Herbalife and other top MLM companies.

It seems to me that Doug has his hand in on some of this… I may be wrong… but it seems like anything BUT an objective list of companies. Nevertheless, we wanted to post his article because it is neither here nor there what company you buy leads from, just get good leads and build your business.

Okay… on to the article:

MLM Leads – The Top 15 MLM Lead Companies in Network Marketing
By Doug Firebaugh

That is a sound of music to my ears. Why? I worked MLM Leads for nearly 8 years, and had great success with them. That is why that I have a pretty good understanding of what really makes a good MLM Lead, and what does not.

In the pursuit of finding these top 15 Network Marketing Lead companies, there were some requirements and considerations that went into the mix. An MLM lead is only part of the MLM Lead Success Formula. There were 5 things that we looked at when we were considering MLM Lead Companies.

What are they?

1) Quality of the MLM lead.

Quality of lead is everything. There are some great looking websites out there that look totally rocking, but we found that the quality of leads when we called them, were less than what you should expect in an MLM lead.

Beautiful site, great looking logo, lousy leads.

That is why we actually had people order leads, and we called them. We called more than one bunch of leads as well. This at least would give us a feeling of consistency or lack of it. The MLM Lead companies we chose were highly consistent in quality of lead, and people who truly were looking for a business. It took us 7 months to complete the research on MLM leads.

2) Training of working the MLM Leads.

Many of the beautiful sites offered no type of ongoing training, and that was something that really needs to be be a part of any good MLM leads programs. There were some that had online training, as well as cds and training series you could purchase. That was good, but the ongoing live training was the best idea, and we found many MLM leads Companies that did just that.

Training also includes scripts, handling objections, presentation, following up, closing, and other MLM leads topics. There are some HOT MLM leads sites out there that truly delivered on this quality of MLM leads training.

3) MLM Leads Support.

The support factor was key. Once the MLM leads were purchased, was there somehow support in case of need? Most had email support, some had live phone support, and some had live instant message support. There were sites that offered no support, and if you had a challenge with your MLM leads, then good luck.

The support should be somehow resolving issues that arise, including bad mlm leads, wrong numbers or emails, and general problems. The MLM Leads companies we found that were the best, had a support system. And some type of guarantee also should be part of the network marketing lead program.

4) Targeted MLM leads.

Many companies had different types of targeted mlm leads, including company specific, live tv leads, local leads, gender specific, product specific, area code specific, among others. Targeted mlm leads are the favorite of the Networkers I talked to, as it gives people a more focused lead, and a more targeted impact.

5) Pricing of the MLM leads.

This was a huge factor in determining many people's decision to buy. But to be blunt, you get what you pay for. There are many cheap network marketing home business lead companies with cheap leads, but here is a warning:

Be careful. You get what you pay for.

Ask if you can try maybe 15-20 leads to see if they are worth the money. Many companies give free network marketing leads away to try.

Understand that a great MLM lead may cost you several dollars, and rightfully so.

INFERNO Secret:

An MLM lead purchase is NOT a purchase, but an investment in your business. One good MLM lead can produce tens of thousands of dollars in volume and revenues. If you understand that, then the pricing should not be as important as the quality and training of the Network marketing lead company.

And of course, REPUTATION had a lot to do with the selection as well. Some companies that came across really well, when checked on, did not have a very good reputation for MLM Leads and service.

Soooooo:

What are the Top 15 MLM lead Companies? (They are in no particular order, as all are really good as far as our research would tell us.)

INFERNO Secret:

Do your OWN DUE DILIGENCE before you purchase, but these we found are pretty strong as all scored well in the above areas of requirement.

1) Cutting Edge Media

cuttingedgemedia.com

2) Leads2yoursuccess.com

3) Networkleads.com

15) MLM leads.com

mlmleads.com

There ARE other good MLM lead companies out there, depending on what you are looking for. But these we found as far as research, were the better ones, and some were beyond exceptional.

MLM leads are a great source of NEW BLOOD for your business. You can find Gold mine after Gold mine, in a good Network marketing lead and great MLM Leads.

The emergence of Occupy The City is starting to gather momentum as many past networkers begin to realize the benefits of building their business as part of a team effort rather than as individuals.

Don't get me wrong, going it alone is still okay but the problem for many is they lack the skills needed to build a network marketing business. Skills such as sales, recruiting, prospecting and training are taken for granted by successful MLMers but the reality is, the majority just don't know how to put these skills into practice. And more to the point, they don't want to.

Occupy The City

At Occupy The City, community based network marketing is taking off and not only are people being given the chance to build a business, but they are also learning some vital skill in working online.

Internet network marketing is an area where those savvy enough to recognize it's potential in attracting leads are reaping the benefits in a big way. Occupy The City founder Jason Acopolis is excited about the future of community based network marketing as he explains.

"Occupy the City is a professional networking community that is focused on a single goal. Success for everyone involved! Now we are not talking marginal success either, our plan will create a 500k annual residual income in 9 months for anyone willing to plug into our easy system and push themselves to achieve the simple monthly business goals that we set forth."

He says…"Our community is made up of some of the most successful networkers in the industry. Every one of them will be available to you to help move you towards success in what really & truly is a very simple home business to operate."

A good example of a networking community is what they are doing with Cyberwize.

Each one of our members has a specific role to fill in the community. This makes life easier for all of us because it means we do not have to wear all the different hats usually associated with owning your own "really easy" (yeah right!) home based business.

Things like Orientation, Training, Motivating, Recruiting, and Interviewing can quickly become too much for a successful or beginning home business owner & entrepreneur to keep up with. This usually leads to burn out. We bypass this problem all together by putting people in positions to build on their strengths only. There are enough of us here, (real people with various skill sets) to make sure this remains a reality for us. Is it a reality for you? It could be, but you have to be willing to take action."

And more importantly, he stressed…"We only work with self-motivated entrepreneurs at Occupy The City and so will you. That is part of what keeps this at home business really easy to run and enjoy."

Is your MLM opportunity floundering? Take a look at your prospecting methods. Chances are you're still fumbling around with old school methods such as making a list, contacting anyone who might be a suspect and possibly providing very little incentive for your prospects to sign up with you.

The key point here is you need to really sell yourself to a prospect before you can expect them to show an interest in your MLM opportunity. While the opportunity may be the initial attrition the truth is, it's you they quickly turn their attention to and if you can deliver education and training in a manner which has them viewing you as someone they consider important in their future wealth building plans then there is little need for a sales pitch.

Working online has made it easier to build relationships with prospects. Sure, you'll probably never meet many of them face-to-face but through websites, blogs and web 2 prosperties, you can develop a relationship with anyone but more importantly, deliver the type of information which will be your trademark.

Selling Yourself To A Prospect

This is some of the best advice you'll ever receive about making it in your network marketing opportunity. Selling yourself to a prospect is the whole reason they contact you in the first place. If your message is all about how great your company is and the power of the products you're promoting then it's unlikely you'll get much response.

But if you offer them something along the lines of training or resource information they can utilize from your website or blog then the chances are you'll get their attention. Because if the quality of information you provide is great without them even having spoken to you then how good will the training be when they join you in business?

Giving Value To Your Prospect First

Can you see where we are going with this? It's all about giving value first before asking for the sale. Sure you've heard this all before but how many people working an inter-network marketing opportunity actually understand it or implement it. Statistics show only a few but without that, it's one of the most powerful aspects of the attraction marketing process you can implement.

If you're prepared to give away quality information for free without even knowing or having met someone then don't you think that person is going to start to view you as a future business partner. And the longer they get this value from you the better the chance is they'll be contacting you about your MLM opportunity.

Don't hold back in the information giving stage. The more you give the more you will get back in return and by teaching your down line these same principles the quicker your business will grow.

Making the decision to go into business on the internet always boils down to a decision between two factors, whether to build your internet business from the ground up, or, to acquire an already existing business and move into that market space.

If you are very particular about the creative aspects of the web presence that you are marketing and promoting, then building your internet business may be the ideal path for you. There can be substantial up-front costs involved in the development and design aspects. The major bonus that you experience by creating your own internet business is that you can implement all of the functional elements of your website.

Another factor that is an advantage in starting your internet business from from the ground up is that the investment are discretionary and are solely a factor of the elements incorporated. If you are a internet business developer and plan to build it yourself, you can realize major savings and huge return on your time invested. The only thing that I put forward here is that your time is certainly worth money, so, making sure that you are factoring that into the construction of your internet business presence is important to remember.

Website Businesses For Sale

There is a problem to starting your internet business from the ground up. There isn’t any traffic flow to your business. No natural visitors, no proven cash flow, no eyes on the promotion and marketing of the business. Most likely you will have to start garnering traffic by establishing a Pay Per Click campaign to drive targeted, specific traffic to your site instantly. Along with that, you will either have to align with a firm to apply your Search Engine Optimization techniques, which will cost money, or, you will have to learn how to apply them yourself, which will cost you more time and has a steep learning curve.

At any rate, you must be ready to run and supervise your internet business, become skilled at and stay conscious of changes on the web, and become an aggressive and knowledgeable marketer in order to rise above the rest and flourish in today’s internet marketplace.

Internet Business

The other alternative is to buy an already existing internet business. This can require a considerable amount of upfront capital and can definitely put you in the target market and give you presence immediately. You are now capitalizing on the years that a previous business owner paid to get to the level of production that the business has achieved. The elements that you would ordinarily have to build, such as traffic and sales are already in place. You have an audience to sell and promote to and they already want what you have. There are certain areas of the business model that have been put in place and there is already some level of organic search listing placement that has been achieved.

In the end you are paying more to get in, but you are getting the advantage of the years of operation without having all of the pitfalls associated with new businesses. The only risk here is that the market could drastically shift in the particular market niche and sales could plummet. That is why you must complete a thorough and inclusive due diligence when making the decision to enter into the existing business model.

Internet Businesses

Creating vs.Acquiring – whether you are investing your time or your money, either way it is a major investment and should be weighed against your particular tolerance for risk. If you have a lower tolerance level, then building your business slow and from the ground up may be your path of choice. If your risk tolerance is at a higher level, then acquiring an already existing internet business may be just what you are desiring in the way of jumping into the market vertical and hitting the ground running.

Creating or acquiring are not the only options. You can also join an existing Cyberwize Home Based Business.

There is something special about looking for and taking up the offer of home based business opportunities. But the statistics tell us we shouldn't be too quick to jump into a work at home opportunity simply because more than nine out of every ten people who attempt it fail.

That is a staggering statistic yet as quick as people tumble out of home based business opportunities, just as many jump into it. Multi level marketing is one of the more popular choices for home business and despite it's reputation for high failure, it still offers the chance for true lasting financial wealth.

Some of the attractions of home business include freeing up personal time and spending more time with family, creating extra money streams and basically just being your own boss. But it takes something special to succeed in home business and it's something many overlook. In this article, let's take a look at some of the things you can do to help you become successful working from home.

Learn From Others

Learn from those who have made it or are making it. By drawing from the success of others in the network marketing home based business, you are sure to get all the positive supports you need in order to begin the path of opportunity for yourself.

Just as any other business, capitalizing on the achievements of others who have taken the same path as you can aid you in your own success and prosperity. Many home business opportunities will have mentors who are actively involved or have been involved in the sector and are willing to help those begin their own branch of a home based business.

Set measurable goals based on a system you can plug into. One major downfall to failure is setting a goal that is unattainable and will keep you from feeling that you can achieve everything available to you.

When you start any of the work at home opportunities out there you will want to be sure that the goals you set are small enough and quick enough to obtain in order to build up your confidence and your track record in order to work from home successfully. No matter how old you are or how much training you have, seeing the results of your efforts is a positive tool for many businesses.

Be accountable to your mentors and attack your success plan. Having guidance from others in the business such as active mentors as tools for your home based business will help you in planning your work from home strategies.

You will have to be accountable to yourself and your mentors for both your strength and weaknesses and by discussing these, you are sure to find the positive aspects to draw upon them when building up your network marketing home based business.

Aggressive strategies for reaching your short-term goals will help you in building up your multi level marketing business in order to start concentrating on long term goals that will be larger and more beneficial to you in the long run.

The art of network marketing pre-selling is a skill most overlook. The normal MLM way is to tell prospects how great their opportunity is. They want to tell them how great the product is. They want to let them know that unless they join today, then they are going to miss out big time.

The point these MLMers are missing is at no stage using this process are they giving their prospect any real reason to join. The prospects simply wants to know how they are going to get there. This type of approach misses the aspect of giving value first before asking for the signature.

Think about it, why would you want to joining an opportunity just because someone tells you the company or product is great. It's very shallow and doesn't hit the right triggers. It's one of the keys to MLM pre-selling and that's to sell yourself by giving a prospect first class education and training before you even get around to dropping a sales pitch on them.

Pre-selling In Network Marketing

You actually began training your prospect from the first time they came across your online property. Did you know this is all part of the pre-selling process. Pre-selling is something most network marketers don't practice. Most will ram the company and products down their prospect's throat without even listening to what they want or where they want to go.

In other words, most network marketers still make it all about them and not their prospect. Fatal mistake. Unless you are putting yourself in your prospect's shoes and getting inside their mentality then you can virtually kiss them goodbye as a member of your down line.

Pre-selling in your MLM based opportunity begins with your website or blog. It's the attraction marketing aspect and it's what leads a prospect to your front door. Remember, the training on your site is only the start and the value continues immediately they contact you.

This is when the pre-selling stage slips into overdrive. You need to ramp up their education. Provide them with free reports and more information and resources they can look at and utilize. Don't ever be afraid that your giving away stuff for free.

How Important Is Pre-selling

So why is inter-network marketing pre-selling so important? Because it's you you're selling. As we've mentioned in the past, you're on trial with your prospect. They want to know if you have the know how to take them towards their goals. By educating and training them from the beginning you're demonstrating you're someone who knows what their talking about.

More importantly, you're someone they want to join in business because of this. Pre-selling done right will mean in most cases, a sales pitch will never be required. Now how powerful is that in building your MLM based opportunity.

You've no doubt been made aware of the enormous attrition rate in network marketing among distributors. Well, it's similar among companies and it's a statistic not too many seem to hear or want to talk about.

Very few realize that network marketing companies come and go every day and it's one of the reasons you need to be vigilant when choosing a company. Do you simply choose the top network marketing company? It makes good sense on the surface, after all, if a company has survived the early years and been in business for five years or more then the chances of it continuing to provide you residual are pretty good.

But picking the best network marketing company isn't going to guarantee you success. Let's take a look at some of the things you need to be on the look out for before signing your name to any MLM company.

Looking For A Network Marketing Company

MLM companies are no different to traditional businesses; surviving the first five years is crucial. The sad aspect is, start up companies which are here today and gone tomorrow don't learn by the mistakes made by their predecessors.

You as a potential distributor can quickly qualify a company with the following points:

- Is the company offering a product which is similar to other companies? If so, what makes their product better? Have they come up with a new angle or found an attractive improvement to what's already being produced?

- How old is the company? If they are just starting off then be very careful. If they have been around for at least five years and showing steady growth then they come under consideration.

- Have a look at the management structure of a new company. How solid is it? More importantly, do they have the financial resources to survive the initial start up period and settling in phase? This is so important because the reason why many companies go under is a lack of capital.

- Who is running the company? We mentioned the management structure and this is another vital area. If those at the top of the company management system are proven in the industry such as having had success with other top network marketing companies, then this is a definite plus.

- If you are joining the industry to build a very large income then joining network marketing companies which have been around for 20,30 or 40 years may not be a good option. Sure, these are great companies but they have experienced their major growth boom and it would be difficult to experience fast personal business growth within such a structure.

Before you decide to simply join the best MLM company just ask yourself whether your growth curve can be achieved in quicker time than with a promising new player on the scene.

One of the revelations in MLM over the past couple of years was a report called The 7 Great Lies Of Network Marketing. Written by Ann Sieg it literally forced the industry to take a look at it's recruitment methods and the way people build their business.

The network marketing lies may have not been what the industry needed at the time given it's reputation for high failure rates but the fact is, something needed to be said and networkers needed to realize that the reason they were struggling may have had nothing to do with the way they were operating their business but more with the system they were being asked to use.

Network marketing is still one of the best home business opportunities available to the average person and when a solid system of attraction marketing is employed to build it then success over the long term can be easily achieved.

7 Great Lies Of Network Marketing

So what are the MLM lies we are talking about? Here are some and see if these are familiar…in other words, can you identify with them?

- anyone can do this business
- we'll build your business for you
- you don't have enough belief
- this isn't sales and we just share products
- everyone is your prospect

Do any of these resonate with you? They should because these are some of the things pitched to prospects before joining a business and the truth is, they have hurt the industry and a strong reason why network marketing is "on the nose" for many people who have tried it.

For example, the biggest of all network marketing lies is undoubtedly "everyone is your prospect."

This old school tactic has been taught to new prospects since day one and while it may have been pertinent even up to ten years ago, today, with resources such as the internet to attract targeted and genuine prospects, it just doesn't apply anymore.

It starts with a person making a list and making assumptions about who would be suited to a business opportunity and who needs it. It's not really businesslike is it and after all, network marketing is a business.

You see, not everyone wants to get into a business. Some will be happy with their lot in life, their job or just lounging around and nothing you say or do will convince them otherwise. And that's the whole crux of this issue…convincing.

You don't have to convince someone they need your business opportunity. Once you do that, you'll be forever going into damage control trying to convince them they should stay committed and success will come.

When you start doing this, it's no longer a matter of what your prospect wants but what you want and unless someone is genuinely hell bent on doing something, then there's nothing you can do to change their mind.

It's one of the greatest multi level marketing lies and believe me, adopting a more realistic attraction marketing based process will get you more results than you could have ever dreamed of.

Achieving success in network marketing shouldn't be viewed as something you do when you've reached your company's top level and receive a healthy residual income check every week for the rest of your life.

If you measure success this way you will set yourself up for failure. Sure it's great to have a grand plan and vision and an end goal is crucial to succeeding but it's the small successes you have along the way which you need to be spending your time concentrating on.

Without them, the leap from start to finish is impossible. They are the small bite-size chunks you need to be taking that bring you closer to your ultimate goal. Many start in MLM and aim fore the stars straight off the bat. The result usually means disappointment and a quick exit from their business.

The key to success in MLM is achieving small goals such as signing up your first person, completing a marketing campaign, sourcing new leads, helping one of your downline get over a problem…all these add up to overall success yet you won't really see it at the time. But when you look back, you'll see they all helped push you in the right direction.

How To Set Short Term Goals

Too many network marketers look at the end goal first and create a noose around their necks from the word go. Network marketing is a long term business and success doesn't happen instantly.

By focusing on the long term goal you've suddenly set yourself an impossible task and will soon become dejected.

For example, if your long term goal is to be making $5000 a month from your business and you're led to believe this can happen within three months then you're in trouble, especially if you're operating via the old school prospecting methods.

We're here to tell you it can't be done. But to achieve $5000 a month within eighteen months, well, that is definitely achievable. But you get there in steps.

This is the time to set short term goals. Here's a guide:

- first month you aim for one sign up
- second month you aim for another two sign ups
- third month you aim for another three sign ups

Why Small Goals Rock!

That's only an example but you get the message. By wiping off the small goals with small bites then you are inching closer to your long term target. And never look back. Yes, assess where you are each time you reach a target and re-adjust if you have.

Success in network marketing isn't just about setting goals. That's just part of the equation. It requires associated action and in the beginning, a strong mentor.

One of the best methods to help you get to your short term goals is to appoint a mentor who you can report to on a daily basis with your completed tasks.

Choose somebody you have strong respect for and someone you hate to let down. You won't believe how powerful this can be and how it breaks through the paralysis analysis barrier of home business.

In fact, for success in multi level marketing, using this tactic is almost a must and when done properly, it can propel you forward like nothing you've seen.

When starting any new home business factor there is going to be a certain degree of what is known as the overwhelm factor. That is, learning how to prospect, how to sell, how to recruit, how to motivate, how to mentor and just knowing how to run a business usually is enough to overwhelm even the keenest individuals.

When Occupythecity came along a lot of the above was taken out of the equation simply because of the unique and attraction business model it provides. In a nutshell, it takes a new member and places them in an area where they will be the most effective,

That is, if someone hates the thought of making phone calls and contacting leads then they don't. But if they have good marketing and promotion skills then that's their role within the company.

Now in most network marketing opportunities, when a person comes into the business they need to be everyone of the above and for most, the skill level required to be successful at being able to perform all those functions is sorely missing.

Occupy The City

So what's the answer? Well, in a nutshell, community based network marketing and that's what Occupythecity is all about. The concept is starting to create plenty of interest within the industry as more and more people look for ways to avoid certain aspects of running an MLM business.

What is community based network marketing? The short answer is, it's a community of like-minded business people all striving for the same goal.

Whether it be an income target for the group, a member target or simply pulling together lead generation sources and avenues, the fact is, it has a very appealing aspect to it for many MLMers.

Now if you're thinking "hey, this sounds to good to be true and I'm going to get involved and get other people to build my business for me" think again. Community based networking groups have a strict qualification criteria.

They are only interested in serious players. People need to go through several stages of interviews before they join. In fact, there is a commitment requirement that has to be met such as dedicating a certain amount of hours per week to the business.

But once someone clears these commitments, the process is definitely worth being involved with. The structure has network marketers assigned to certain roles. For example, if you are comfortable and good with people on the phone then that will be your area of expertise.

If you have good marketing ability and know how to attract prospects in a targeted fashion, then that's the role you'll be offered. And if you have good mentoring or coaching abilities, then yes, you'll fill those roles.

Better still, leads work on a rotation basis and are shared evenly among active members. The knowledge that when a lead comes into the funnel and lands in your lap and someone with expert contact abilities is on the job interviewing and recruiting the prospect, is usually a huge relief for many network marketers within a community based network marketing system.

With attraction marketing becoming the buzz phrase within the industry today, the training level for Occupythecity members in this area is comprehensive, especially on how to implement internet network marketing into an MLMers repetoire.

Testimonials - These are a dime a dozen and in today's world many don't even believe the testimonials that are given the majority of the time.

Here are 3 more things to consider when choosing an MLM Leads Company:

Testimonials - These are a dime a dozen and in today's world many don't even believe the testimonials that are given the majority of the time. The best way to overcome this obstacle is to ask other members. Not just the ones that have been there for eons, but the newer ones who've been around for only a couple months. You will get a fair assessment because the veterans will extend the down the line benefits and the newer ones will let you know the issues they have tried to overcome working with a new company. Its a win/win situation for you overall.

Quality Leads - This will determine whether or not your business is actually going to flourish with this company or simply be a bust. There is nothing more disheartening then getting a ton of network marketing leads from a company then no one return your emails or anything because they are "litter leads". You can get a good assessment again from both older and newer clients.

Cost of the Leads – Cost is somewhat relevant, because cheap leads are worthless if they're no good. Really, would you rather spend $100 for 25 quality leads where you get to speak to qualified people who are not going to puke all over you, or would you rather spend $100 for 200 leads that are a complete shot in the dark, harvested, and no better than dialing through a phone book? The answer is obvious. Don't get hung up on the cost of leads. It's the quality that counts.

Then of course how much are these leads going to cost and how many will you receive for the amount you are paying. The lower the cost per lead just remember, "you get what you pay for" and in this case that holds true to a tee. Good, solid MLM leads can still be found inexpensively if you research the above topics thoroughly.

Let me begin by saying I am in no way associated with Xango. However, I have always been impressed with their marketing department. They are, without a doubt, the boldest marketing department within the Network Marketing industry. And, they keep providing top notch material for their associates.

Go check out XangoTV

Here is a brief excert from their press release:

LEHI, UT – Jan. 15, 2008 – Distributors worldwide and top executives of global nutritionals leader XanGo, LLC forged another path in direct sales by hosting the industry's first-ever global online broadcast event. XanGo's "Online INVASION" on XanGo.TV, a 30-minute magazine-style program of major announcements and distributor motivation, attracted viewers from over 20 international markets.

Viewership for the Online INVASION premiere smashed projections, surpassing 100,000 and temporarily overloading the company's servers. Within an hour of the Jan. 14, 7 p.m. U.S. EST kick-off, XanGo expanded its server capacity and met the towering demand for the show.

From everything I've seen, the bar has been set high for everyone else. One thing I appreciate about Xango… they don't look like the rest.

This is a 2-part series on things you should consider when choosing to work with a MLM Leads company.

Since there are literally thousands of different MLM Leads companies to choose from it becomes stressful over which one will actually benefit you the most and give you the best opportunity of building your downline. You will find a variety of difference reasons why certain people choose the ones they do, but a few basic areas are things everyone should look into more. If you can find a company that has all of the following you will be well on your way to finding the next company you want to work with continuously.

Reputable business - The most important thing when doing business with another company especially one providing MLM leads is to find out how well their reputation stacks up against others. Even though this can be a tedious process since there are several companies out there, you will find in the end that it was well worth the investigating. If you come across a company that has been in business for 2 months compared to one that has been around for 10 years which one are you going to lean towards? The latter most likely, but what if the the 10 year old company has had nothing but continuous complaints and the younger one doesn't have a blemish, then who do you choose? Either way you never would have known unless you did the research.

Customer Service - This is just important especially in the beginning because most likely you will be unaware how their company works for MLM leads, what avenues to take, and you will need some helping hands along the way. People that will not only steer you in the right direction, but do it in a friendly manner as well. If you can find both of those and a customer service desk that is available at all hours or at least the ones you will be working with them then you've found yourself a winner.

Part 2 will be coming in a few days.

There are lots of leads companies out there… of course I don't need to tell you that. So what makes company A different from company B, from company C, and so forth?

This is my personal belief… for the most part a lead is a lead… at least from the point at which the lead was generated. If all companies sold their leads twice and only to customers (and not other resellers who will again sell them again), then there really wouldn't be much difference at all. I would get approximately the same results no matter who I bought the lead from.

The problem is that most companies (emphasis on "most") do not sell their leads just two times. Many of them sell their leads 3-5 times, and then also to other resellers. Even so, you can still recruit from leads that have been over sold, but no one likes to spend $100 for leads only to have the prospect angry and beaten up by your competition.

Another thing that makes network marketing lead companies different is their customer service. Some leads companies are very rude, almost bothered by the fact that you are disturbing them by ordering leads. Other companies offer extras and make you feel appreciated.

I don't like to complicate things, but this is what I would do. Find one or two companies that do not sell their leads more than twice that has great customer service. If you've found that, refer your upline and downline to use the same service and you will begin to get consistent results. If you've found one or two of those companies, you've found something special. Stick with it and the leads company will take care of you. They like your repeat business and they'll begin to reward you for it.

The bottome line – results don't lie. Find someone in your upline who is tearing it up with leads and ask them.

If that doesn't work, check out our top 10 MLM Leads companies. But, let me ask you NOT to ask for a sample of free leads. This isn't Sam's Wholesale where you can get a free sample of pizza before you buy it. Be a professional, buy a small quantity and test them out.

You can always do a web search, but be smart when you shop. If the web site doesn't look professional, stay away. Don't buy gimmick leads. Be a professional, invest in some quality leads.

They have redesigned their site from the inside out. The have ditched all the sorry leads (email and autoresponder leads) and have finally come over to the light. .. that is they are now offering quality real time leads.

They have redesigned their site with a new look and navigation. I think the owner is on the right track and is worth checking out. Go to the new National-Leads.com

I even bumped them up to #6 on our Top 10 MLM Leads Companies Review page.
