Unfortunately, it has been a while since I took the time to make adjustments to the top 10 lead companies for building your network marketing or other home business. I have been attending to other projects, and it is one of those things I kept meaning to do.
There have been some significant changes in the leads industry… just as Peak Impact merging with GB Leads, some companies going out of business, others getting involved in “questionable” activities, etc. The last 2 years have affected many people, including companies.
Be looking for the updated list soon at the following link:
Top 10 MLM Lead Companies
My primary focus here is to see which companies are continuing to get the best reviews, the best lead for your money, the best customer service, lead replacement, support for your downline, integrity, not getting pitched on another business, good website, educational material, willing to go the extra mile, etc.
Another factor that wasn’t really considered in the past is technology. Many companies are now promoting the use of auto-dialers with their leads. While this is great, it means you have to use leads in a new way… albiet a good way (in my opinion)… but leads are not the same as they were a couple years ago.
So, be on the lookout for our new updated list.

Peak Impact is a leads company that has been around for several years. They’ve been a good company that produced consistently reliable leads. That may have been more true in in the earlier days. There were some quality issues over the last 18 months, but still better than most.
Their most notable decline was in their customer service. Trying to call them was next to impossible. We have heard this from many people. Well, Peak Impact as you knew them is no more.
Somewhere in mid to late 2010 they were bought and are merging with another company based out of Oklahoma. GB Lead Systems has taken things over, which is good news for the lead industry. They will have much better support and the lead quality should return to where it once was.
Be looking for some of those old Peak reseller sites to fade away, and a few of them that were more active to me merged into the GB Lead Systems network.
I don’t know much about GB Leads, except that they are one of the primary suppliers to many of the major lead companies out there. They are the primary source. While I still believe that no one company generates all their own leads, GB Leads is one of the big boys.
If you’ve used GB Leads before, or if you have any further word on Peak Impact, let us know by leaving a comment.

In the previous blog post, I did a review of MLM Lead Specialist… formally known as MLM Lead Genie.
Wow! Wow! I didn’t expect so many pieces of email from readers. I have chosen not to print their name in this blog post because I do not want any negative reaction from the company toward their comments… but here are some:
“I ordered the survey leads and it was so full of duplicates and garbage names (such as ‘rjrjrjr kdklms’). It was ridiculous. Just going through the list and seeing names like Hot Dog, Bo Bo, Wet Man, and other crap like that makes you not even want to call through the list. The leads are not scrubbed or otherwise checked for stuff like this. What a waste of money.”
“I bought a list of Optin leads and one person was listed 5 times in my list! I realize these are cheap leads, but I’m not paying for the same lead 5 times.”
“Interviewed leads – are you kidding me? Apparently my definition of an interview is way off. Not was I was expecting.”
“Of the leads I spoke with, the prospects were beaten up, over called, and most had no idea how they ever got on a list. I think I had one guy say he was looking. I’m going back to my old leads company. Forget this stuff.”
There were several other emails, some not quite as bad as these, but it really does go to show you that you get what you pay for. MLM Lead Specialist may be one of the cheapest MLM Lead companies on the market, but from what I’ve seen over the last 2 months since writing that review, you might be better off going elsewhere. Or, at the very least, buy one of their smallest lead packages and test them for yourself. They do have a money back guarantee which is nice, so don’t take my word for it, give them a whirl and then leave a comment to this blog post and let me know how it went.
Keep recruiting!

We are looking for more feedback on customers who have used MLMLeadsSpecialists.com
Our initial review is as follows:
Positive:
Great prices. They have some of the best prices for their leads
Negative:
The leads are horrible as a whole. So, despite the good prices, the bottom line is that the money you save is not worth the cost. Here are some comments about these leads:
“I sold their leads a long time ago when they were MLMLeadGenie. I thought I would try them again as MLMLeadSpecialist. What a mistake. It has been nothing but a mistake. I have not had this much damage control to do from the customers that have bought these leads from me.” ~ Anonymous Reseller
“The leads were shocked that I called them. Everyone is surprised I am calling them! I was calling these with a group of people and I was embarrassed. There were duplicate leads and many angry people. I did not speak with one person who knew what I was talking about. Horrible.” ~ P.K., Monavie
“What a mess. I hate to bash a company, but these leads are some of the worst I have ever called. ” ~ A.N., Iowa
“I don’t think I have ever requested a refund from a leads company before, but I did with them. Not very impressed.” ~ R.C., Mannatech
While I don’ t really want to put down a leads company, it is amazing the number of negative feedback emails we have received. I would like to post something positive, but we never received any.
The purpose of this blog post is not to bash MLMLeadSpecialists, but to make our readers aware of what other customers are saying.

Affiliate programs are nothing new, but not too many lead companies have them anymore. I miss the days of ProStep… for those of you who remember when ProStep was an MLM company. I actually made quite a bit of money with them.
Today, most lead companies have some kind of a referral bonus… hey we’ll send you some free leads if you refer someone. That’s nice, but I’d still rather have cash over leads… or both for that matter.
There are a couple of them out there, and I do understand that it’s not about getting wealthy off of a leads affiliate program, but I do intend to make at least $300-$500 per month with the Pro Email Leads affiliate program. Here’s their banner. Just sign up for free and start promoting their leads. It is a 2-tier affiliate program. If you get 5 – 10 people a month who buy leads through your link, or if they are on your first or second tier, it won’t be hard to make a nice bit of money with their 30% payout.

While it is certainly no ProStep (RIP), it is a decent way to make a few extra bucks. This may be one of the better kept secrets out there. Check it out while it’s still not flooded with affiliates.
